Mildred A. Dushane of McBain died Saturday morning, March 26, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 64. She was born on February 24, 1947 in Marquette, Michigan to Arne J. & Lucille M. (Barr) Hietikko and they preceded her in death. She graduated from Cloquet High School in Cloquet, Minnesota. Mildred had lived in the Cadillac area since 1967 and had been employed at Girl Coat Co., Lakeshore Linen, RLD Dress Factory and at Four Winns for close to 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the casino, traveling, yard work, helping people and loved her dog and cat. Survivors include her children: Schonnie (Josh) Markham Clinton Dushane all of Cadillac and Jeff (Robin) Dushane of Boon; step children: James Brown (June Potter) of Reed City, Lisa (Jamie) Cockeram of Lake City, Jon Brown, Dale Brown both of Cadillac and Julie (Timothy) Beebe of Ionia; 13 grandchildren; 5 brothers: Butch (Carolyn) Hietikko of Grand Rapids, Arne “Junior†Hietikko of Tustin, Ray (Orveen) Hietikko, Rodney Hietikko, and Lee Hietikko (Paulette Knoph) all of Cadillac; 3 sisters: Gloria (Wil) Hilton of Cloquet, Minn., Debra (Tom) Worm of Cadillac and Annette Leon Barber of Manton; Many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Hietikko in 1957 and her special friend, Russell Brown in 2006. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Josh Markham officiating.
