Pamela A. Tice

June 27, 1957 - January 27, 2014

Pamela A. Tice of Leroy passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her home. She was 56. She was born on June 27, 1957 in Detroit to Haldor E. & Anne M. (Madar) Okerblom. In 1975 she graduated from Pine River High School and went on to Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City where she received an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Pam was a stay at home mother to raise her family and later went to work at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac where she was employed for over 20 years. Pam enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren at her pool. One June 17, 1978 in Detroit she married Martin E. Tice and he survives her along with their children: Keith (Laura) Tice of Marshall and Keri Tice of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren: Emma Lynn Tice and Lucy Anne Tice; her mother Anne Okerblom of Leroy; a sister, Shelly (Kevin) Wanstead of Leroy; niece and nephews: Holly, Casey and Luke and many other nieces and nephews. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Haldor Okerblom in 1991. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 3014 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Leroy with Pastor Jesse Slimak officiating. Her final resting place will be Rose Lake Township Cemetery in Osceola County. Friends may meet the family Sunday from 2- 5 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Joy Club of Evangelical Covenant Church of Leroy, Leroy- Rose Lake Township Fire Department or the Mercy Hospital Foundation.
