Patrice Lynn Steinhour Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patrice Lynn Steinhour of Mesick died Monday morning, May 30, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loved ones and photos of loved ones. She was 59. She was born on March 30, 1952 in Toledo to George Thomas & Martha Patricia (Graham) Steinhour. She graduated from South Lake High School in Saint Clair Shores in 1970 and from Northwestern Michigan College in 1981 with an Associates Degree in Computer Science. Patrice had been employed at Old Kent Bank in Traverse City for 6 years and for 23 years at Munson Medical Center in Computer Operations and retired in January of 2010. Patrice loved her beautiful gardens and watching the birds in them, photography, and was known as an expert shopper, gourmet cook and Master crafter and all who knew her knew of her love for Flamingos and the color Pink. But most of all she loved her grandchildren, family and friends, who will miss her very much. Survivors include her children: Christopher (Becky) Fitzpatrick of Melvindale, Kelly Fitzpatrick of Tucson, AZ, and Jessica Wilcoxson of Mesick; 4 grandchildren: Brianna Fitzpatrick, Mikayla Knorpp, Bryce Ruppert, and Parker Fitzpatrick; great grandchild: Ariella Fitzpatrick; her parents, George & Pat Steinhour of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, RenÃ© Steinhour of Cadillac; brother, Terry (Cathy) Steinhour of Sterling Heights; nieces and nephew: Jennifer (Matt) Logan, Crystal Steinhour, and Graham Steinhour; special friend, Kevin Hyman of Mesick. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Dale Maxwell in 1998. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Buckley Tabernacle Church with Pastor Chris Emery officiating. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 Am until time of services at the church. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill cemetery in Cadillac. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions made to ALS Foundation or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Arrangements were made by the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
