Patricia S. Beckelic Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia S. Beckelic of Cadillac passed away suddenly Friday, May 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 60. She was born on May 16, 1953 in Paradise Township, Grand Traverse County to Martin S. & Ina M. (Nicholas) Schuster. Patti graduated from Mesick High School in 1971 and had been a homemaker for many years while raising her family. She later went to work for Wal-Mart and was there for many years prior to being employed at Avon Automotive for over 10 years and for the past five years she had been employed at Avon Protection Systems. Patti lived for her grandchildren and her dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, making freezer jam, traveling and most of all her trip to Hawaii. On June 16, 1990 in Cadillac she married Paul D. Beckelic and he survives her along with her three sons: James (Lisa) Cockeram, Jason (Ruby) Cockeram all of Lake City and Martin (Jessica) Cockeram of Cadillac; step-son, Gary Beckelic of Vista, CA; grandchildren: Coty Moore, Brittany Cockeram, TJ Beckelic, Emily Cockeram, Kaylee Cockeram, Madison Cockeram and Payton Cockeram; her mother, Ina M. Schuster of Buckley; three brothers: Donald (Cindy) Schuster of Tustin, Dallas (Sue) Schuster and Jack Schuster all of Mesick; a sister, Anna (Jerry) Austin of Cadillac and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Schuster. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend David Tinker officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the services.
