Rozella I. Sewell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rozella I. Sewell passed away July 21, 2012 at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac. She was 91. She was born in Lyman Township, Ford County, Illinois on November 28, 1920 to Henry and Ethel Lora (Nichols) Rath and they preceded her in death. She married Edwin Sewell on March 19, 1943 in Owosso, Michigan and he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1989. Mrs. Sewell lived in Owosso until 1950 at which time she moved to Hoxeyville where she lived until 1959 when she moved to Ada, Michigan. In 1966 she moved back to Cadillac where she and her husband had their own well drilling business. Rozella enjoyed knitting, crocheting beautiful doilies in her spare time and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children Eileen (Dewayne) Richard and Bruce (Shirley) Sewell all of Cadillac; 7 grandchildren: Lora (Jeff) Gentry, Douglas (AmMith) Richard, Karen (Rob) Kendziorski, Steven (Jennifer) Sewell, Melissa (Calvin) Braun, Paul Sewell, Shelly (Corey) Hughes; 9 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Etheleen Neaubaum and a grandson at birth. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac with Parish Assistant Judy Coffey officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Grove Township Cemetery in Wexford County. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 AM until services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
