Sharon L. Erickson-Wilson

August 1, 1938 - November 30, 2013

Sharon L. Erickson-Wilson of Cadillac passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 75. She was born on August 1, 1938 in Cadillac to Reuben A. & Hilma E. (Norman) Carlson and they preceded her in death. Sharon grew up on a farm in Tustin and graduated from Tustin High School in 1956. She went on to Ferris State Institute and later was employed at Baird, Cotter & Beattie in Cadillac. On August 23, 1958 she married Eldon D. Erickson and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1988. Sharon enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking apple pies, sewing, photography, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and concerts and while her family was growing up she was active in 4H. She also enjoyed going to the Cadillac Philharmonic programs, swimming at Pine Grove and spending time with her circle of friends at Big Boy. On September 3, 1998 in Cadillac she married Harry A. Wilson and he survives her along with her children: Julie (Tim) Seguin of Tustin, Shelly (Richard) Snavley of Paris, MI, Melissa (Jim) Hastings of Tustin, and Gregory (Laurie) Erickson of Cadillac; step-children: M. Craig Wilson of Battle Creek, Tresa (Michael) King of Wyoming, Bradley (Chong) of Oklahoma, Laura (Jeff) Kwilinski of Wisconsin; grandchildren: Eric (Sarah) Seguin, Dan (Michelle) Seguin, Alicia (Travis) Alger, Alec Snavley (Chelsea Guzikowski), Mitchell (Kaylynn) Hastings, Brett Hastings, and Katelyn, Mary, and Matthew Erickson; step-grandchildren: Kurtis (Rachel) King, and Devin, Aaron, and Meagen King, Marie (Brandon) Jones, Julie Wilson, Chrisopher (Meagen) Kwilinski and Heidi Kwilinski; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Harland (Karen) Carlson of Wisconsin; sisters-in-law: Nancy (Gordon) Jacobson, Betsy (Runo) Lorentzon all of Tustin, Diane (Tom) Miller of Florida, Beth (Al) Roos of Washington , D.C., Judy (Delos) Johnson of Owosso, Ann (George) Schipper of Florida; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Fr. Joe Fix officiating. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 AM until services. Sharon's final resting place will be Burdell Township Cemetery in Tustin. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Love, INC., Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.
