Victor R. Moored

Victor R. Moored of Tustin passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was 77. Victor was born May 6, 1937 in Highland Township, Osceola County, Michigan to Kelly Roy and Abbey (Oles) Moored and they preceded him in death. Victor graduated from Leroy High School and later went on to earn his Associate's Degree in Agriculture from Michigan State University. He served in the National Guard for a short time before going to work on the family farm. Victor worked on the family farm for many years until semi- retiring in 1987 when he still did some work. He enjoyed Iron art, wood working, music and dancing. He is survived by his children David (Tammy) Moored of Leroy and Kay (Randy) Albright of Evart; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and sisters, Doris I. Moored of Tustin, Jeanie M. (Bill) Britton of Bristol and Elna J. Sherman of Tustin. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastor Derek Carpenter officiating. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. His final resting place will be Sherman Township Cemetery in Osceola County.
