Wesley H. Meyers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wesley H. Meyers of Cadillac passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at his home. He was 84. He was born June 27, 1929 in Fremont, MI to George W. and Wilmena (Rosema) Meyers. He married the former Joan VanGoor August 21, 1952 in Fremont, MI and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2009. Mr. Meyers had lived in Fremont for over 40 years and then moved to Cadillac in 1968. He graduated from Fremont High School and attended Michigan State University. He went to work for his father at Meyers Implement Sales in Fremont until he moved north and was employed at Ellen's Equipment in McBain for 23 years before retiring. He was a member of the Cadillac Christian Reformed Church for many years and enjoyed building outdoor furniture and yard work. Survivors include his son, Jeff (Tamara) Meyers of Ada; 3 grandchildren: Joel (Hailie) Meyers, Angela Zamarron and Tara Zamarron; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Steven Meyers in 1981 and 2 brothers, James and Elwin Meyers. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at the Cadillac Christian Reformed Church with Reverend Ron Klimp officiating. Friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-7PM at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
