Pauline Ruth (Scott) Schut

Pauline Ruth (Scott) Schut went home to be with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord on December 12, 2024 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 89. In 1957 she married the love of her life and soul mate, Donald Schut, who she is now with for all of eternity. She was born on December 28, 1934 to Mryl Edwin and Barbara Lettie (Graber) Scott who preceded her in death. Surviving is sister, Glenna Diehlman; sisters-in-law, Mary LaChonce, Beverly Schut; and brother-in-law, Tom Schut. Preceded in death are sister, Dorthea Galdeen; brother, Burton Scott; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Schut, Carole Schut, Sue Scott; brothers-in-law, Dan LaChonce, Fred Diehlman, Clifford Galdeen, Robert Schut, and Elwood Schut. Pauline was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her family and extended family deeply and was very devoted to them. She taught her children to serve the Lord and to be kind to others. She is survived by her children Steve Schut of Cadillac and Debra (David) Szot of Big Rapids and granddaughters, Heather Hodges (Josh Bell) and Amanda Szot. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She attended Bennet Grammar School, Evart High School and Davenport College. She was employed at State Farm Insurance, the Nabiso Company and Cadillac Printing Company. All of her life she worshipped and served the Lord. She was a member of Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas. Her friends meant a great deal to her. Volunteering to help others brought her much joy. Her retirement was spent volunteering for Love, INC., Wexford Missaukee Department of Human Services, Munson Hospital Gift Shop and Surgery Center and Rehoboth Ladies Circle. Children were the light of her life and she enjoyed helping them. She will be miss by all who knew her. A service and remembrance of Pauline’s life will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, December 16, 2024 at Rehoboth Reformed Church with Pastor Kathy Vana officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at church. Pauline will be laid to rest in the Lucas Cemetery.
