Sharon Lee Cronkhite

Sharon Lee Cronkhite of Cadillac passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home. She was 76. Sharon was born December 9, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to Ernest Ralph and Ila Mae (Rosenberry) Thompson. She graduated from Tustin High School in 1962 and worked several jobs while raising her children. She worked at Cadillac Evening News for many years, working in various positions. Sharon retired from Lifetouch Photography after many years where she was known to "put out fires and keep everyone happy." Sharon was gifted musically; she enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was a talented seamstress and sewed many items of clothing for her children when they were young. Sharon was active and loved to go for hikes, walks and bike rides. Over the years, along with her husband, Bill and friends Dale and Marge Brinks, she traveled extensively. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church of Tustin. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Cronkhite of Cadillac; her children: Teresa (Cecil) Shipton of LeRoy, Lisa (Richard) Paquette of Alden, Kimberly Gage of Cadillac, Mark (Stephanie) Gage and Kenneth (Brenda) Gage all of Avondale, AZ; Bill's children: Teri Nelson (Joe Frederick), Kevin Cronkhite all of Cadillac, Dean (Shari) Cronkhite of Portland, TN, Shawn Cronkhite (Janine Denzel) of Cadillac; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: JoAnn (Gerald) Delancey of Kingsley, Barbara (Albin) Johnson of Tustin, Timothy Thompson of Jonesborough, TN, Cheryl (Sean) Fortier of Longview, TX and sisters-in-law: Virginia Mongar of Cadillac and Mary Thompson of Groveland, Florida. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Harold and Jerry Thompson, Wilma (Doyle) Mitchell and William Mongar. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac with Pastor Mike Leydet officiating. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sherman Township Cemetery in Osceola County.
